Josianne Cutajar is the youngest Member to ever represent the Maltese Islands in the European Parliament. As a member of the Committee for Industry, Research and Energy, as well as the Committee for Transport and Tourism, she strongly advocates for widespread digitalisation of the European Union, promoting SMEs, while striving towards the achievement of ambitious sustainable development goals. She was part of the European Parliament’s negotiating team for the European Strategy for SMEs and she is also an active member of the SMEs Intergroup, where she focuses on promoting research and innovation among SMEs and micro-businesses.
